August 26, 2009 (New York, NY) – Strikeforce president & CEO, Scott Coker, has confirmed that Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko (30-1) will meet undefeated Brett “The Grimm” Rogers (10-0) in his Strikeforce debut this fall. A venue or date for the show has not been announced.

Emelianenko participated in a public workout today in New York City and the Emelianenko vs. Rogers matchup was revealed to the media and fans at the event.

Emelianenko signed a multi-fight agreement on August 3 that will see him headline mega-events co-promoted by world championship promotions STRIKEFORCE and M-1 Global.

Emelianenko enters the contest with a 26-fight win streak, including victories over former UFC champions Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia in his two most recent bouts.

Rogers enters the contest with a perfect 10-0 record with 10 first-round stoppages.

I really hope this guy loses since he bitched out from signing with the UFC cause he didnt want to hurt his rep

Yeah, he was just scared of Lesnar.

I don't know anything about the other guy, but he has never lost or been out of the first round so he should be pretty good.
