Bobby Lashley Signs With Strikeforce

n the heels of news that UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar may require more surgery, leaving his potential return in serious jeopardy, another former WWE star could be ready to take the next step in his mixed martial arts career.

Undefeated heavyweight Bobby Lashley (4-0) has signed a multi-year contract with Strikeforce.

Lashley, 33, will see his first action with Strikeforce on the fighting league's January 30 card, which also features Nick Diaz, Herschel Walker, and woman's champion Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos.

The signing is yet another move by Strikeforce, as they attempt to chip away at the stranglehold UFC has on mixed martial arts. Earlier this week, Strikeforce signed former UFC and Pride star Dan Henderson.

The 6'3", 252-pound Lashley made his MMA debut in December of 2008, and has since scored victories over Jason Guida and Bob Sapp. He was also a two-time NAIA National Wrestling Champion as an amateur.

1 step closer to being in the ufc good job Bobby.. But he doesnt want to face brock cause brock will kill him

I think in a few years (after he gets more experience) he might be able to hang with Lesnar, but yes right now Lesnar would kill him.

Yeah too right plus when it comes down to it i think Brock is the smarter fighter.

After his first fight with Frank i think Brock has gotten alot more aware of what to watch when he's on top feeding you hammer fists
