![]() X-Men Origins: Wolverine might not exactly have been the cool Logan spin-off we were all hoping for, but it did well enough to justify a sequel, which Hugh Jackman at least has been promising will focus on his time in Japan. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood 411 blog, the new film is ready to start shooting in January.Well, “ready” if you don’t count the fact that it doesn’t have a director or other cast in place yet and the only real part of the film that seems to exist is Christopher McQuarrie’s script, which he’s apparently just handed in. Which means the January start - at least until Fox decides to announce things officially - is still technically a rumour.Still, there’s plenty of time to gather everything else that’s needed (including time in Jackman’s packed schedule) and according to the blog’s source, Full Article on Empire Online Updated Wolverine is sharpening his claws for movie #2. As reported by THR, Hugh Jackman will travel to Japan to film next January. Christopher McQuarrie’s script is good to go “and will be very different than the first film.” How different? Love story different. Apparently round two will focus on a storyline from Frank Miller and Chris Claremont’s comic book. It’ll still include the usual Wolverine beat downs, but it will be a “beautiful story’ with a romance featuring a Japanese actress at its core. X-Men Origins: Wolverine took in a whopping $373 million worldwide, but did anyone actually love the film? Hopefully whoever is hired to direct will seize the opportunity Edited by The Comedian, Mar 4 2010, 12:28 AM.

Think he only worked on the X Men trilogy not sure if he is working on any of the origin films. Think the last thing the dude worked on was Watchmen. |
