Finally got hold of a copy of dreamweaver so im starting on design my site im not going with my old design i dont like it that much now. So now im a little stuck on what to go for layout wise and design colour style etc.

Want it to show my influences in the theme so its not just a regular site it stands out so just need a few suggestions. Keep in mind im keeping it rather simple so less to update/fix if anything goes wrong.

The main influences i would say would be metal gear solid series and tim burton bit of an mix but it works for me lol

The Wikagesic Skin I made was heavily influenced by MGS. The colors and such. So looking at it might give you some ideas. I made this for that skin. And I think the MGS influence is pretty easy to see.

As for Tim Burton and MGS together. They almost contradict each other. You have the slick futuristic look of the MGS games, and the sketchy freaky look of Tim Burton. If you could find a way to combine both. I'm sure it would be freakin sweet!

The Mantis and Sorrow dolls from MGS4 remind me slightly of a Tim Burton movie.

Here is a layout i just did i quite like it what im going to do with the themes is use my own ideas ive had for games and stories and create some stuff for those and merge them into the design of the site which hopefully will work well.

As a base what you think?

Thanks. Its going to be a whole new site it will have some of my designs and artwork on there within their own gallery section also some of my writing and hopefully film stuff.

As for dreamweaver it is like the photoshop for creating websites it just cuts out a lot of the hassle of web design.

Looking for an idea for a logo i was thinking using one of my characters and doing a smaller cartoon type version of them sort of peaking around some text or something like that. Not sure what to do for the logo if i should go with intials or what and style etc.

Love the idea of a cartoon version of one of your characters. Reminds me of the little pixelated Otacon from MGS2. What was the name you decided on?

Yeah something like that. This is what i have so far keeping the base quite simple for the banner think ill do a bright colour for it so it rests just above the menu bar.

This is still without any of the detail designs still the base template and layout being worked around but its nearly there now.

Oh the images at the bottom right will be linked and named to some designs or art sections etc.

So any ideas for improvements or changes?

I like it man. The images on the bottom right really stand out to me. They look pretty sweet! Looks good so far.
The real fun will come when you start the gallery stuff.

I dont see anything that needs changing and its pretty much what i was going for. I think the about me section will be similar to this one

For the film section going to use a cinema style presentation so the screen is where the banner would be with the videos below. Graphic design im not to sure about it yet.
